While we are passionate about the quality of our tea, our ethical values determine the approach of our business. We work with tea plantations committed to Fairtrade and in Herefordshire we work with a social enterprise organisation providing our packing services. As well as proactively considering the environmental and social implications of our own business; we are proud to get involved in initiatives such as campaigns for international development charity Concern Universal, based in Hereford.
We’ve got to know the people and communities that produce our tea. We understand the effect of different soils and weather on the taste and flavour of our tea; but we also appreciate the unpredictable nature of global markets. So we work with growers to produce Fairtrade tea that meets only the highest quality standards, based on sound environmental and ethical business.
Communitea is a fundraising campaign encouraging people to host a tea party to raise awareness and funds for Concern Universal – an award-winning Hereford-based international development charity whose work we are proud to support. With a few pots of Trumpers tea, we are getting people talking and doing what we can locally to support the inspiring projects that Concern Universal are involved in around the world.
We work with Pack-IT, an award-winning social enterprise and social business in our home town of Hereford, who manage our storage, distribution, fulfilment and mailing services. Working with people with disabilities of all types, Pack-IT offers education and vocational training as well as giving their employees opportunities to develop skills, and gain the confidence necessary to reach their full potential.
